Tsavo National Park is the combined area of Tsavo West National and East National Parks covering some 4% of Kenya’s total land area makes Tsavo National Park one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries. Situated halfway between Nairobi and Mombasa, the park is a haven for a diverse cross-section of wildlife, including the ‘Big Five’. Tsavo National Park is divided into two sectors by the Nairobi Mombasa Highway with Tsavo East National Park lies on the eastern side of the highway while on the western side of the road lies the Tsavo West National Park.
3 days - Mombasa- Tsavo West - Amboseli
Day 1 Mombasa – Tsavo west. This morning, drive to Tsavo west, part of the largest national park in Kenya, Tsavo National Park, arriving in time for lunch. You will then enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive when the sun goes down. The pleasure will all be yours as you enjoy your dinner and watch wildlife as they come to the lodge's floodlight waterhole to lick salt and take water. Overnight spent at Kilaguni lodge or similar. Meal plan LD Amboseli National Park Amboseli lies immediately North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania Kajiado District, South Kenya with atotal area 392sq.km. Amboseli was established as a reserve in 1968 and gazetted as a National Park in 1974. The park is fairly small with an area of 392 sq. km and is amazingly very rich in both flora and fauna. Amboseli is one of Kenya’s most popular parks, mainly due to the magnificent backdrop of snow-capped Kilimanjaro- 5,895 Meters Africa’s highest point, which dominates the sweeping game dotted plains. The mountain is on the boundary of the Amboseli Park and it is certainly one of the finest locations for mountain spotting with Mt. Meru also being seen in the horizon.
Day: 2 Tsavo west – Amboseli After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, most famous for its elephant population with Mountain Kilimanjaro as its backdrop. You will arrive in time for lunch. Amboseli is also home to a variety of other game, including lion, cheetah and hyena amongst many more. Dinner and overnight spent in one of the lodges/camps. Meal plan BLD
Day: 3 Taita Hills- Mombasa (B) Return to Mombasa after breakfast, arriving later on in the afternoon Meal Plan B
