Ngorongoro Crater

DAY 1:  Arusha Arrival

On arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, our expert guide/driver will meet you and drive you to Lake Duluti Serena or similar for overnight stay.

Day 2 Arusha - Ngorongoro

After breakfast and a short pre-safari briefing by our representative, depart for Ngorongoro highlands via the Great Rift Valley.  You climb to the exterior of the crater’s rim and get a glimpse of the “Eighth wonder of the World.” 

 Ngorongoro is near to one of the earliest dwellings of man the Olduvai Gorge. You visit the nearby Olduvai Gorge widely referred to as the 'Crater of Mankind'. The site is world famous for the archaeological discoveries made by Mary and Dr. Louis Leakey. Olduvai Gorge aroused interest in the archaeological world as early in the Nineteenth Century, when a German Professor Katurinkle while searching for butterflies in the gorge, came across some fossil bones. Dr. Leaky discovered there the skull Australopithecus-Zinjanthropus boisei - the nutcracker man who lived in the lower Pleistocene Age around 1,750,000 BC. Day 2 Ngorongoro Conservation

Descend to the floor of the crater with picnic lunch for a lifetime experience after your breakfast. You literary watch   thousands of game. This unique African eco-system supports the delicate balance of predator and prey in the endless quest for survival.  The Ngorongoro crater is a spectacular volcanic crater that covers over 259 sq. Km with the surrounding walls towering to 609 metres above. The crater is a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals including the black rhino and the conservation area is also home to the Maasai people. You ascend up the wall after spending a wonderful time as the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge or similar

Day 3 Ngorongoro – Arusha – Da res salaam

After breakfast you depart with picnic lunch boxes and proceed to Arusha Airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam departing at 1330hrs.  You will met by our representative at Julius Nyerere International Airport and transfer to a hotel in Dar es Salaam on a bed and breakfast basis for the night. Overnight at

Day 4 Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve

Transfer to Julius Nyerere International Airport at 0700hrs for your   flight departing at 0830hrs to Stigler’s Airstrip in the Selous Game Reserve. You will be met on arrival at Stigler’s Airstrip in the Selous, you will be met by your Driver Guide and transfer to your Camp/Lodge. Check-in and after refreshing up, you will have a session with your expert Safari Guide to tailor your activities program. Dinner and overnight at Serena Mivumo River Lodge / Selous Serena Camp or similar

Day 5/6 Selous Game Reserve

Day 7 – Selous to Dar es Salaaam and departure

Early morning game viewing drives in the reserve searching for the animals we may have missed before returning to the lodge for an early lunch and check-out.  Transfer to Stigler’s Airstrip for your flight to Dar es Salaam departing at 1400hrs to arrive at 1445hrs.  You will be met by our representative and assisted to connect to your home bound international flight.
