6 Nights and 7 Days in the "Gorilla Country" Uganda safari in the "Gorilla Country” you will explore the jungle of the pearl of Africa –Uganda, Buhoma - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Lake Bunyonyi.  Enjoy the incredible lush of this mountaiouns region where the East African savannah  meets the West African Jungle.

Day 1 Arrival Kampala

Meet and greet at the Entebbe Airport by our representative and transfer to Kampala for a restful night

Kampala is capital city of Uganda is spread across over ten beautiful hills located on the lands that once that King Kabaka Mutesa I had reserved for hunting grounds. Quietly elegant and understated garden city, the British referred to the area as the “hill of the Impala”. 

Day 2: Kampala-Buhoma

Depart from Kampala and travel south –West and across the equator. You drive through the savannah grasslands see banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. You then ascend into Kigezi highlands known as the Switzerland of Africa’ with terraced farming and mountain scenery. Continue your drive to Buhoma for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Buhoma - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

On the third day we set out for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - the highlight of your safari. After a full briefing on do’s and don’ts you leave for the dense vegetation in search of Gorillas led by your trackers   guides. It is unpredictable where or how far away the gorillas will be due to their movement in search of food. Therefore be prepared for a hard and tiring walk over steep slippery hills as result of frequent showers. However once you spot the Gorillas all your fatigue is forgotten and replaced by a feeling of exhilaration and enthrallment, as you watch these gentle primates feeding and playing. You send an hour only with the gorillas and the make your way back. Stop on your way back for a picnic lunch, dinner and overnight in Buhoma.

Day 4: Bwindi

On the fourth day you re- enter the forest for a second exciting day of Gorilla tracking and trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with its beautiful waterfalls and marvel at the impressiveness of this African forest  and return for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Bwindi-Lake Bunyonyi  

Day five we depart for Lake Bunyonyi and drive to this the lake best known for its abundance in small bird species. Take a canoe ride on this beautiful and narrow lake that is surrounded by green hills before dinner and overnight

Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi-Kampala

We leave Lake Bunyonyi back to Kampala.

Please bring heavy leather gloves, stout hiking boots, long sleeve shirts, long pants, a light back bag and drinking water.  The safari package may be reduced to a three days Gorilla Safari or extend this package to cover other areas of interest. To avoid disappointment, please book this trek not less than 5 months in advance.
