Lake Manyara National Park stretches along the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. “The loveliest I had seen in Africa” is how Ernest Hemingway described its setting.

Lake Manyara National Parks game-viewing circuit is a miniature of the Tanzanian safari experience. Apart from a spectacular setting the Park offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlannds and steep mountainsides.

The green jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops relax along the roadside while the blue monkeys jump quickly between the ancient mahogany trees as the  graceful bushbuck stride cautiously through the shadows, and the large forest hornbills calls shrilly in the high canopy.
