Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda near Fort Portal contains one of the loveliest scattered mature tropical woodland with patches of savannah grassland and swamp.

Kibale annexes Queen Elizabeth National Park to the south to create a 180km-long corridor for wildlife between Ishasha. The park lies close to the tranquil Ndali-Kasenda crater.
