Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is Uganda’s smallest national park, a sanctuary for the rare and endangered mountain gorilla. The park is part of the Virungas volcanoes that span through Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Batwa – a tribe of pygmies among the first people in Uganda and still living according to the tenets of their ancient culture also live here. High in the clouds, at an altitude of between 2400 meters lies the spectacularly scenic Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
