It has beautiful waterfalls, mountains and wildlife. Taking a trip to Uganda is like a trip to the heart of Africa and the source of the Nile. Gorilla tracking, trekking in the `mountains of the moon’ and safaris to the beautiful Murchison’s Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park are just some of the many exciting highlights the country has to offer.

There remains on the planet about 650-700 mountains gorillas, the specie of the Gorilla Gorilla Beringei. These numbers are shared between Uganda, Rwanda and Congo, which are all part of the Virunga Conservation Area. Moreover, Uganda has another forest, Bwindi Impenetrable, which is the Ugandan gorilla sanctuary. Some of the gorilla families have been habituated thus attracting regular tourists who trek in the forest in search for the beautiful primates. There are 5 families in Uganda Bwindi Impenetrable, 5 in Rwanda Parc des Volcans and 6 in Congo Virunga National Park.

Day 2: Buhoma - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
This day is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast your trackers who will be your guides for the day will meet you. After a thorough briefing on do’s and don’ts you set out to the thick vegetation in search of Gorillas. It is not easy to predict where or how far away the gorillas will be, as they can move considerable distances when feeding. Therefore you have to be prepared for a hard and tiring walk over steep hills, which can be slippery due to frequent showers. However, when you find the Gorillas your fatigue is forgotten and replaced by a feeling of excitement and fascination, as you watch these gentle primates feeding and playing. You remain with the group for an hour, and start making your way back. Stop on your way back for a picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight in Buhoma.

Day 3: Bwindi
Re- enter the forest for a second exciting day of Gorilla tracking and trekking in the Bwindi Forest with its beautiful waterfalls and marvel at the splendor of this ancient African forest. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Bwindi-Lake Bunyonyi
Depart and drive to lake Bunyonyi; the lake known for its abundance in small bird species like the Avian. You may take a canoe ride on this beautiful and narrow lake that is surrounded by green hills before dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi-Kampala
After breakfast you drive back to Kampala.
